Poor the baking soda solution or the soda on the terminals. The acid will eat away the corrosion. Wipe the battery off carefully before installing it in the mobility scooter.
If corrosion becomes a problem, it is better to buy a replacement scooter for the battery as the procedure described above may cause damage to the inside electrical parts if the mobility device is not cleaned properly. As long as the battery does not need to be replaced, you can charge it normally using its proper charger, and expect your batteries to have a normal life span as long as they're well cared for.
